The job involves using security architecture and tools to protect the system, data analysis, and identification of threats. One must have good knowledge and experience of networks and servers.

Who Should Apply for CompTIA CySA+?

It is specially designed for people who have a desire to become an IT security analyst, vulnerability analyst, or threat intelligence analyst. The applicant must have at least 3-4 years of experience in information security.

Exam details

• The certificate is valid for three years after its launch.
• You can renew your certification through various other programs by CompTIA.
• If you collect at least 60 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within three years, your certification will automatically get renewed. 
• The preparation time typically depends on your experience.
• A person having experience of 3-4 years will take around 4 months to prepare for the above exam.

Eligibility Criteria

This certification does not require any previous educational experience as it has its own set of merits. However, Network+, Security+, and a minimum of 4-years of hands-on information security experience are recommended to take the exam.

CompTIA CySA+ Examination Details

• Exam Topic: CompTIA CySA+
  
• Number of questions: 85 multiple-choice questions
• Passing score: 750 (on a scale of 900) for CS0-001 and CS0-002
• Time allotted: 165 minutes

This exam can be taken in English, Japanese and simplified Chinese.
